  • Why should I choose implants?

    There are other options available for teeth replacement, including bridges and dentures. However, neither of these offers the same strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal as teeth implants. By fusing to the jawbone, implants create the next best thing to a natural tooth root, removing any potential eating or speech issues.

  • Am I suitable for implant treatment?

    Most people are suitable candidates for dental implants if they are generally healthy and have good oral health. We will thoroughly discuss your overall suitability for implant treatment at your initial consultation.

  • How long does the dental implant treatment process take?

    With the introduction of the new premium version of dental implants, the procedure can take as little time as 4-5 weeks in a healthy mouth. The implants do need some time to heal and fuse before fixed permanent teeth can be placed. The treatment process will be longer if you need a bone graft or other procedure first, but your new smile will be more than worth it in the end. We can assess the length of treatment time it will take at your dental implants’ consultation.

  • How long do dental implants last?

    Since we have started placing implants at our practice over 15 years ago, the majority of them, over 98%, are still in place. If dental implants are placed correctly and accurately and looked after properly, they can last a long time. This includes maintaining an excellent brushing and flossing routine, looking after your general health, and attending regular check-up appointments with your dentist. The crown or bridge that the implant supports may need to be replaced over time due to normal wear and tear.

Over the past 25 years, Dr Ramin Ordi has developed his dental interests in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.

He has undergone in-depth post-graduate training in this and related subjects and is presently undergoing continuing professional development in Dental Implantology.

He is a member of the ADI (Association of Dental Implantology) and is an International Team of Implantologist (ITI) mentor and supervisor for the South West of England.

He has been praised for his gentle and relaxed approach which puts even the most nervous patient’s anxieties at ease.
